Gift Event 2019 is Here! The most recent Pokemon Go(opens in new tab) event focuses on gifts. After the Rayquaza raid(opens in new tab), the mobile catch-'em-up today launched a Gift campaign, increasing the amount of Presents players may hold and open. The event starts today and runs till Monday, August 19. During the next two weeks, Pokemon Go players will be able to unwrap 30 Presents every day and hold up to 20 at once. Any Gift Eggs you get will hatch after just 2km, regardless of tier. According to Niantic's blog (opens in new window), "Don't worry, Trainers! Any Gift Eggs received during the event will only need 2 km to hatch and will display as 2 km Eggs. Whether you incubate or hatch them during or after the event, the Pokémon that emerge will be the ones that normally appear in 7 kilometer Eggs." Straw Hat Pikachu 2019 Event is Here! Next week, Pokémon Go will get a dose of One Piece. From July 22, gamers will be able to capture a Pikachu wearing a straw hat, similar to the one worn by One Piece protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. It's part of a fundraiser towards the rehabilitation of Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan, which was devastated by a terrible earthquake in 2016. The Pokémon Go event is a component of the bigger of the One Piece Kumamoto Reconstruction Project . Eiichiro Oda, the author of the One Piece manga and a Kumamoto native, has offered financial and fundraising assistance to the region throughout the years. Pokemon GO in Sanriku was a Pokémon GO regional event commemorating the inauguration of the Sanriku Railway Rias Line. Pokemon GO in Sanriku 2019 Event is Here! Geodude will spawn in large numbers over the whole Iwate Prefecture from July 1st to July 15th, to coincide with Geodude being named ambassador of Iwate in Japan and various Pokémon events commemorating it being hosted in Iwate. 3rd Anniversary Event

It’s a little hard to believe, but  Pokémon Go  has been out for almost a full year. To celebrate,  Niantic Labs announced  that it’s planning a number of in-game and in-person events. 3rd Anniversary Event is Here! The game's first major event, dubbed the Solstice Event, will take place. This event will take place on June 13th, and it will contain Fire-type and Ice-type pokémon, XP bonuses, and cheap Lucky Eggs. The developers also revealed that a new update focusing on collaborative gaming would be released shortly, hinting to a "new method" to play the game, but will also temporarily shut down in-game gyms. Fans of the game may also attend the first in-person event in July: Pokémon Go  Fest Chicago , This is set to take place on July 22nd, 2017. The event's tickets will go on sale on June 19th. Adventure Week returns to Pokémon Go for 2019, bringing with it a slew of new benefits from June 4 at 4 p.m. ET to June 11 at 4 p.m. ET. Adventure Week 2019 Event is Here! The event will include a variety of cool incentives, including the following: An increased spawn for rock-type Pokémon Quadruple candy from buddy Pokémon 10 times the XP from spinning unvisited Pokéstops A bonus of 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies for trainers who walk over 50 kilometers on Adventure Sync Update:  Due to issues with Adventure Sync, Niantic is giving players a second week to walk 50 kilometers for the above rewards.
