The most recent Pokemon Go(opens in new tab) event focuses on gifts. After the Rayquaza raid(opens in new tab), the mobile catch-'em-up today launched a Gift campaign, increasing the amount of Presents players may hold and open. The event starts today and runs till Monday, August 19.

During the next two weeks, Pokemon Go players will be able to unwrap 30 Presents every day and hold up to 20 at once. Any Gift Eggs you get will hatch after just 2km, regardless of tier. According to Niantic's blog (opens in new window), "Don't worry, Trainers! Any Gift Eggs received during the event will only need 2 km to hatch and will display as 2 km Eggs. Whether you incubate or hatch them during or after the event, the Pokémon that emerge will be the ones that normally appear in 7 kilometer Eggs."

Moreover, Eggs broken during this Gift event may yield Shiny Bonsly, who resembles the Easter-themed Gifts. That's the type of Shiny synergy I'm all for. With Shiny Ralts in the Pokemon Go Community Day(opens in new tab) and Shiny Rayquaza in the August raids, Bonsly is the month's third unique Shiny, and we're just five days in. August seems to be a fantastic month for collectors.

Features



    • All Eggs received from Gifts during the event will require only 2 km to hatch and look like 2 km Eggs, but don’t worry, Trainers! The Pokémon that hatch from them will be ones that normally appear in 7 km Eggs, regardless of whether you incubate or hatch them during or after the event.

    • For the duration of the event, the number of Gifts you can open daily will increase to 30.

    • For the duration of the event, the number of Gifts you can carry in your inventory will increase to 20.

    • If you’re lucky, you may hatch a Shiny Bonsly!

      • Shiny Bonsly and Shiny Sudowoodo will make their Pokémon GO debuts.









Trainers, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced a new limited-time Gift event which will start on August 5 and will end on August 19.

The Gift event will go live on Monday, August 5, 2019, at 1:00 PM PDT and will end on Monday, August 19, 2019, featuring:

  • All Eggs received from Gifts will require only 2km to hatch and will look like 2km Eggs, but you’ll hatch Pokemon from the 7km Eggs

  • You can open 30 Gifts per day only during the event

  • You can carry 20 Gifts only during the event

  • Shiny Bonsly will hatch from 7km Eggs

With the return of the Water Festival in Pokémon Go, be ready to take advantage of the summertime. Biology Medicham is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a yoga practitioner. It has a gray body with red and yellow adornments. A red headpiece with three bulb-like extensions covers the upper portion of its head: one on top and one on either side. The bulb on top is short on a female Medicham.
