Gift Event 2019 is Here! The most recent Pokemon Go(opens in new tab) event focuses on gifts. After the Rayquaza raid(opens in new tab), the mobile catch-'em-up today launched a Gift campaign, increasing the amount of Presents players may hold and open. The event starts today and runs till Monday, August 19. During the next two weeks, Pokemon Go players will be able to unwrap 30 Presents every day and hold up to 20 at once. Any Gift Eggs you get will hatch after just 2km, regardless of tier. According to Niantic's blog (opens in new window), "Don't worry, Trainers! Any Gift Eggs received during the event will only need 2 km to hatch and will display as 2 km Eggs. Whether you incubate or hatch them during or after the event, the Pokémon that emerge will be the ones that normally appear in 7 kilometer Eggs."
