Solstice Week 2017 Event
Although most of the gaming industry is gathering in Los Angeles this week to be assaulted with E3 trailers, the rest of the globe remains occupied with Pokémon, as it always has. Pokémon GO is kicking off its one-year anniversary celebration with a Solstice Week 2017: This is a fire and ice-themed "Solstice Event," which begins tomorrow, June 13 at 1 PM PDT. The event boosts the spawn rate of both Fire-type and Ice-type Pokémon and provides discounts on Lucky Eggs, as well as XP bonuses for precise Pokéball tosses and some sort of blanket XP benefit for other activities. The event concludes on June 20, one day before the summer solstice. According to the blog post:
