The Pokémon GO Special Weekend event in April 2019 was the third in the Pokémon GO series. The partners included 7-Eleven, Ito En, and Tully's Coffee.
These events required Trainers to purchase a ticket at a sponsoring brand's shop on each day in order to access the event features after visiting a check-in PokéStop.
Niantic has announced a new Pokémon GO Special Weekend event, which will take place in Japan on April 6 and 7, 2019. The event is only available to individuals who buy tickets, which enable access to specified PokéStops containing rare Pokémon. Increased spawns of Chikorita, Totodile, Unown letters N, Y, and T will be available for ticket holders at Tsutaya and Ito En shops in Japan on April 6. Later, on April 7, additional spawns of Unown letters S, V, and Cyndaquil will be accessible to 7-Eleven ticket holders. The following is the development team's formal announcement:
