Biology
Skrelp is a brown aquatic Pokémon that looks like a sea dragon. It features a purple face and neck, black-rimmed red eyes, a tubular, upturned snout, a leaf-like pectoral fin on each side of its head, and a huge, roundish mass on top of its head. A slender brown stalk connects a bright blue, spherical growth to the rear of its head. It has a small hunch on its back and a blunt spike. It has a striated, purple belly and a circular, light blue fin on either side of its body. It has three leaf-like fins on its tail.
Skrelp is a lousy swimmer, so it disguises itself as seaweed to avoid detection while conserving energy for evolution. Skrelp travels the water by riding the seaweed. It also employs this strategy to conceal itself from prey, which it sprays with liquid poison when approached. However, rotting seaweed is its primary dietary source. Skrelp is reported to get along well with Dhelmise.
