Silcoon is a cocoon-like Pokémon that attaches itself to tree branches using silk. With just two little holes, it is nearly entirely wrapped in white silk. Through the apertures, a pair of crimson eyes can be seen, although they are partly obscured by a scratchy fringe of silk. Silk creates a tough cocoon that it may employ to deflect hostile assaults.

Dew and rains accumulate on the silk, providing food to Silcoon. Silcoon lives in woods, conserving energy by moving as little as possible. Silcoon cannot extend a limb or move when in this stage because to its cocoon. Silcoon's eyes, however, can still move, enabling him to keep a careful look out for danger.
