Water-Type Pokemon that can be shiny

We've compiled a list of Water-Type Pokémon that can shine. During the Water Festival, most of these Pokemon will have higher spawning, giving it a great time for shiny checking and catching one or two new shinnies. Remember that regardless of the event, the probability of a wild shining encounter is 1 in 450. Carvanha and Barboach are likely to have had their shine rates increased throughout the event, but the others should have the standard chances. We haven't included any infant forms, second or third evolution phases to keep the chart size minimal.

Parting words

The Water Festival this year is an excellent chance to capture some new shinies and stroll the heck out of your 100% IV Magikarp. There's also a nice assortment of PvP-friendly Pokémon (Barboach and Wooper come to mind), as well as a chance to swap gears with new raids.

Pokemon GO lovers will be pleased to know that the Water Festival is returning to the game. Here's all you need to know about the popular event.

Pokemon GO Water Festival 2019 Details And Guide

Summer is coming to an end, but there is still at least one huge Pokemon GO event left until September. Gamers may take a little break from wondering about the forthcoming September Ultra Bonus events to start thinking about Water Festival 2019. Since so many charming and adored Pokemon are Water-types, the yearly event is one of the most popular recurrent parts of the game, thus late August should be a very exciting time for trainers.

Next month, Pokemon GO users will most likely be going through Jirachi Research, but for now, it's all about the Water-types. The event will include a few new shiny monsters to hunt down, as well as enhanced Water-type spawns and egg hatches, and the reintroduction of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf to five-star raids (for a limited time during the event).

The forthcoming event begins on August 23, and many of the benefits will be available through August 30. Don't expect to see the Lake Trio populating five-star Raids throughout the duration. This incentive will only be accessible during a special Raid Hour on August 28 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

Bonuses

  • 2× Hatch Candy

  • Water-type Pokemon buddies gain candy at half of the usual distance.

Water-type Pokémon hatch more often from Eggs.

Crabhammer, a Water-type Charged Attack, will be available to Kingler and Crawdaunt.

Shiny Barboach or Shiny Carvanha will be reintroduced into the wild.

This event includes a plethora of intriguing benefits for collectors as well as end-game gamers. There are some fantastic chances to acquire new Water-types for your PvE and PvP squads, as well as the possibility to add some new shiny Pokemon to your collection. The advantages should be enough to entice a large number of participants to participate in the Water Festival.

Catching shiny Pokemon gives the trainer no advantage in combat, but it is a fun extra challenge to add to the game. Shiny Pokémon are ideal for displaying to the rest of the community at Gyms.

Keep an eye out for additional Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates in the near future. Until then, trainers, best of luck!

Pokemon GO is presently accessible on Android and iOS smartphones in specific locations.
