Biology Info

Mewtwo is a fabricated Pokémon. It is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon with feline characteristics. It is mostly gray with a purple tail. It has purple eyes and two short, blunt horns on top of its head. A tube connects the rear of its skull to the top of its spine, avoiding the neck. It features a distinct chest and shoulders that are reminiscent of a breastplate. The tips of the three fingers of each hand and foot are round. It has a large tail at the base that thins down before terminating in a little bulb.

Based on Mew, Mewtwo was developed after years of horrifying gene splicing and DNA engineering experimentation. It is commonly regarded as the most powerful Pokémon in existence, having the most vicious heart of any Pokémon, lacking sympathy and driving dread into its adversaries with icy, blazing eyes. It can only think about beating its opponents since it was designed to be the ultimate opponent in war. Mewtwo demonstrated these nasty attributes in the first film, when it was revealed to be capable of levitation, telepathy, mind control, and the capacity to generate huge storms. However, it was subsequently shown to be compassionate, protective, and even altruistic. Another Mewtwo in the anime shared similar dislike to interaction with people, although it was much less aggressive. Mewtwo conserves energy by staying immobile in combat in order to unleash its maximum force. Though it is seldom spotted in the wild, it is reported to be resting someplace in a dark cave.

Mega Mewtwo X is bigger and bulkier than its regular form. It has longer horns that grow from V-shaped ridges on its forehead. Furthermore, the horns are now pointed and curving upward. It now has two tubes behind its neck, pale blue eyes, and enormous, purple growths on its shoulders. Its sleek, compact body contrasts with its lengthy, muscular limbs, and a Y-shaped line joins the collar and underbelly. It now has two elevated ridges on its forearms and thighs, and its fingers grow longer and thinner. Its tail is shorter and stiffer than previously, with a curled tip. Its muscles have been enhanced with mental power, giving it a one-ton grasp strength and the capacity to run 100 meters in two seconds. It is seen to be able to lengthen its arms and legs while employing techniques in combat.

Mega Mewtwo Y has lost its lengthy tail and the tube behind its neck, making it smaller and lighter. It does, however, develop a long, purple appendage with a curled tip from the rear of its head, similar to the tail of its former form. It possesses two pointed, backward-curving spikes on its head, as well as a half-ring structure linking the bases of both and spanning over the top of its skull. Its eyes have become crimson and have grown somewhat bigger. The fingers on its hands and feet have become purple and bulbous, and the middle toe has grown longer than the others. On its chest, a rough ridge akin to a sternum replaces the breastplate structure, although this form is still considerably smoother than the other two. Despite its little size, it has incredible mental strength and is capable of destroying structures with a single thought.

Mewtwo is the only Pokémon known to be capable of learning the move Psystrike.

History

Mewtwo was created from a pregnant Mew found deep in the rainforests of Guyana, whose embryo had been treated with to modify its DNA, according to scientific documents discovered in the Pokémon Mansion on Cinnabar Island. It was kept and researched at the mansion, where a doctor carried out horrifying gene-splicing experiments that made it aggressive and immensely strong. It ultimately escaped from the Mansion, destroying it in the process. It may be found in Cerulean Cave, which is only accessible if a Trainer has demonstrated their expertise on the Indigo Plateau.

Mewtwo is a Legendary Pokemon that cannot be evolved. It was first seen in August of 2017 during the Pikachu Outbreak in Yokohama, which lasted from August 9 to August 15.

How to Catch Mewtwo

Mewtwo, like other Legendary Pokemon, can only be found in five-star raids in Pokemon Go. Mewtwo was last accessible at Pokemon GO Fest in July 2021, so gamers will have to wait until the next event to catch him.
When Mewtwo reaches five-star raids, players can capture it in rank 20 encounters of the Pokemon Go Battle League. Mewtwo cannot be traded in a Special Trade because it is a Mythical Pokemon.

Mewtwo Counters, Resistances, and Weaknesses

Mewtwo is vulnerable to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks since it is a Psychic type. There are many Pokemon that can oppose Mewtwo, although some are more effective than others. Because of its typing, Mewtwo is immune to Fighting and Psychic-type moves.
