Trainers, a brand-new event has just been revealed, and players will have the ability to fight and capture Kyogre and Groudon, learn new moves for certain Pokemon, and catch new shiny forms from tomorrow, January 15, through January 29, during this event.

Let’s try to keep this simple Trainers:

  • Pokemon Go Hoenn event – start date and time: January 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM PST until January 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM PST

  • Increased spawn rate of Gen 3 Pokemon

  • Return of Legendary Gen 3 Pokemon Kyogre and Groudon in Raid Battles

  • Gen 3 Pokemon in 7KM Eggs

  • Field Research featuring Gen 3 Pokemon

  • Evolving Shroomish into Breloom will know Grass Knot

  • New shiny Pokemon – Zigzagoon and Taillow

  • Team Magma and Team Aqua avatar items in the shop

Another Pokémon GO event with a Hoenn theme was recently organized by Niantic.

Pokémon found in the Hoenn area began turning up more regularly in the wild on January 15 and continued until January 29 at 1 p.m. PST. Also, Shroomish gained the unique move Grass Knot if you developed it into Breloom during the event. Further information about the event is provided below:

  • Raid Battles included Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region, such as the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon.

  • Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region had an increased chance of hatching from 7 km Eggs.

  • If you evolved Shroomish into Breloom, it learned the exclusive move Grass Knot.

  • You had a chance of encountering Shiny Zigzagoon, Shiny Taillow and Shiny Groudon for the first time.

  • As a part of the Hoenn celebration, you had the chance to find Shiny Zigzagoon and Shiny Taillow. In raid battles, you were even able to encounter Shiny Groudon and Shiny Kyogre.

  • New avatar items inspired by Team Magma and Team Aqua—the original villains of the Hoenn region in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire—are available in the Style Shop.


It turns out that most poll respondents are Team Aqua supporters. The Pokémon Company wanted to know whether you were wearing Team Aqua or Team Magma avatar goods in Pokémon GO.

With Heatran's removal from Raid Battles and the conclusion of Pokémon GO's Adventure Sync Hatchaton mini-event, the Hoenn takeover event comes as a surprise. The celebration also coincides with the fascinating Feebas Research Day event, which can result in a wild day of capturing and robbing!

In situations when you wish to utilize Breloom as a mixed attacker, Grass Knot will be the greatest charge move for Breloom. It will also give Breloom one of the highest DPS Grass types in Pokémon GO, second only to Roserade with Poison Jab and Solar Beam.

Breloom can do a ton of damage with Grass Knot despite its low TDO, but it will be difficult to find a matchup where Counter as a quick move and Grass Knot as a Charge move mesh nicely.
