Biology
Fomantis is a plant-like Pokémon. Its eyes are huge and dark pink, with significantly darker pupils. Bunches of light green leaves encircle its head, and a particularly huge tuft in front overhangs its face somewhat. From the middle of its head, a tiny, dark green bulb produces a lovely perfume. A collar of short, dark green leaves wraps around its neck. Four lighter green leaves with white ends protrude from its collar: two in front and two in rear. These leaves serve as scythe-like arms at the front. It has a light pink main body with a broad, dark pink stripe along the front and back. It has a short tail and two legs.
Fomantis stores energy gained by photosynthesis in order to evolve. Because it is nocturnal, it spreads its leaves wide throughout the day to gather sunlight. During the night, it spends its time looking for a new place to sleep for the next day. Due of the hazard involved, it will not remain in the same location for more than a day. If something disturbs it when it is collecting sunlight, Fomantis will attack it viciously. It develops vibrant coloring when consistently exposed to sunshine. Though it excels at long-range attacks, it seldom employs ones that need the consumption of its stored photosynthetic energy. Fomantis has a pleasant and refreshing smell. Bug Pokémon, such as Cutiefly, are known to congregate around it owing to its odor.
