Thanksgiving Event Guide in 2016

Niantic has confirmed that a new Pokémon GO event would go live on November 23rd, at precisely 00:00 UTC time, only a few days after our first 0.47.1 data mining. Except from two unique mechanics, the event features no special mechanics.
  • Double XP gain
  • Double Stardust gain
The Thanksgiving Event Guide in 2016  was the second big in-game event for Pokémon Go is slated for Thanksgiving in the United States, from November 23 to November 30, during which time users will get double the standard XP and Stardust for in-game activities. The second event is a little more limited than the first, which provided candy bonuses and higher encounter rates for certain Pokémon, but it's still a nice boost for existing players (and Niantic is probably hoping for some lapsed ones as well). The new event isn't officially tied to Thanksgiving, but the Pokémon Go team did call it a "Celebration to Say Thank You" in a blog post announcing the news, so the link is obvious. The Go team also underlined that the game's specific goal is to "encourage exploration and improve fitness," and boosting XP gain and Stardust should help, since moving about and capturing new Pokémon is the simplest method to acquire both. pokemon-go-event Daily bonuses, which reward players for coming in and playing every day, have just arrived in Pokémon Go, so it's not surprising to see other planned in-game events that strive to increase stickiness even further. Still, the Halloween event raised in-game interest and spending tremendously, and I expect the Thanksgiving event to do the same. We must confess that this event lacks innovation, but the Stardust farming will be enjoyable. It's also worth noting that Niantic revealed the precise start and conclusion times of the event, demonstrating that they're paying attention to the user base. Original post from the official Pokémon GO blog:
“Trainers, It has been an incredible experience since we launched Pokémon GO a few short months ago in July. We are passionate about creating experiences that encourage exploration and promote exercise. We are humbled that hundreds of millions of you around the world have joined us on this journey. So we would like to say thank you – and what better way to say thank you than to celebrate our community. So, starting November 23rd at 00:00 UTC and going through November 30th 00:00 UTC, we will double the amount of XP and Stardust you receive when completing in-game actions. The Pokémon GO team”

Trainers have a variety of choices for maximizing their XP and Stardust acquisition throughout this event. This event will essentially operate as a perpetual Lucky Egg bonus in terms of XP gain (it stacks with Lucky Egg as well) with the addition of Stardust drops. Players should engage in following actions:
  • Lucky Egg evolution is now 4x efficient (2x Lucky Egg + 2x event bonus)
  • Make sure your daily Pokémon streak is up and running, as it now will reward the following:
    • 1000 XP and 1200 Stardust for First Catch of the Day
    • 4000 XP and 4800 Stardust for 7 day streak
  • Of course, catching Pokémon and Hatching Eggs is a must
The Pokemon Company and Niantic have announced that a special in-game event for Thanksgiving would be launched to thank its fans for their continuing support. Pokemon Go Trainers will be able to earn twice the amount of experience points and Stardust while performing in-game activities beginning November 23rd at 12am UTC (4pm PST / 7pm EST on 11/22) and ending November 30th at 12am UTC (4pm PST / 7pm EST on 11/29). Niantic has introduced the third special in-game event for Pokemon Go. The first in-game event took place over Halloween, while the second took place earlier this month. This is the first time Niantic has awarded additional experience points, so if you've been looking for a quick method to level up, this week is your lucky day.

Conclusion about Thanksgiving Event Guide in 2016

pokemon-go-thanksgiving-event-update-when-does-it-end-lucky-egg Pokémon Go was a huge sensation when it originally arrived on smartphones last summer, but fans needed fresh reasons to keep playing the AR-based game when the initial frenzy died down. Conducting in-game events that reward players is one approach used to replicate the enthusiasm, and Pokémon Go will have its second holiday-themed event this week. The future in-game event is set to coincide with Thanksgiving Day in the United States, but it is not a US-only event like the Apple Watch activity challenge we saw earlier today. (Pokémon Go has also included its own country-specific event, most notably a Japan-only 'Lapras event.') Beginning on Wednesday, Pokémon Go users will gain double XP and Stardust for in-game activities such as capturing Pokémon and visiting PokéStops. The newest Pokémon Go event will last one week, including the Thanksgiving holiday. Pokémon Go previously attempted this tactic with a special candy bonus around Halloween. Apart from the recent holiday-themed activities, Niantic has promised a December update that would bring Pokémon Go to the Apple Watch in the form of a new walking or running exercise. There will be no Pokémon Sun or Moon events, while the smartphone game will continue to concentrate on first-generation characters. https://pokemongocentral.one/thanksgiving-event-guide-in-2016-pokemon-go/?feed_id=38305&_unique_id=63f26220cef14
