Legendary Week 2018 Event

If you see a Legendary Egg appear in Pokémon GO right now, you have no idea what's inside. We're in the midst of Legendary Week, which means Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza are all spawning at the same time, allowing players like myself to catch up on Legendaries they may have missed when they didn't feel like venturing out in the snow. It will stop tomorrow, when we will only have Rayquaza spawn until March 15th. And, although we don't know when it will happen, approximately 1 PM PST is never a bad bet.



 

Legendary Week 2018 Event is Here!

I can't say I'll be sorry to see it disappear since it doesn't seem like a well-executed event overall. On the most basic level, it suffers from the same issue that the game had when all three Legendary Birds were accessible at the same time: no one turns up for Raids. It's difficult enough to gather people for most Legendary Raids, but it's much more difficult when they don't know whether they'll receive the Pokémon they're hunting. People are more inclined to just not show up if they lack that confidence.

Nevertheless, with this event, the difficulty is exacerbated by the fact that there is a kind of catch challenge going on. On the surface, it seems like catching Kyogre would result in more Pokémon hatching from eggs that enjoy Rainy weather, catching Groudon will result in more Sunny Pokémon, and catching Rayquaza will result in more Windy Pokémon.

The issue is that Windy is obviously what we're pursuing here; Niantic even said that we'd have a greater chance at Bagon, and hence the rare third-tier evolution Salamence. Now we have a scenario where there are three Pokémon accessible, but the game seems to be discouraging us from getting two of them. That's hardly a prescription for involvement, as I've observed in my local raid scene, which is deader than normal.

Right now, #TeamRayquaza is winning, It should come as no surprise, given that it's a far easier struggle. The idea of a fun, Splatoon-style "which do you like" battle is a fine one, but it doesn't really fit with the purely RNG-focused Pokémon GO. Even if you consider yourself a member of #teamGroudon, you may never have the opportunity to participate.

However, I still need a Kyogre: I believe a better method would be to quickly cycle the Pokémon for three days at a time, or something. From the beginning, the limited duration Legendaries have been a double-edged sword, particularly because there is no quest system for catching up on what you missed. It's thrilling while you have a shot at that month's species, but if you miss one, like me, you're basically locked out of ever catching them all. It has the effect of dampening long-term enthusiasm in a game when that is essentially the primary aim.

Now is the time to test your strength! Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon return to Raid Battles alongside Rayquaza for a limited time. Now is an excellent chance to finally catch all three ancient Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region!

Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza each have their own strengths and weaknesses, so challenging all three will take skill! Power up your strongest Pokémon, grab your friends, and head to nearby Gyms for a chance to battle and catch them from February 23 until March 5.

We’re in for some legendary battles, and the overall result will be exciting! If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) are more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) are more likely to hatch.

Niantic, the creators of "Pokemon GO," began a legendary Week Event on February 23. This is an excellent chance for players to engage in Raid Battles and acquire three Legendary Pokémon. The newest Legendary Week event in the game will conclude on March 5, followed by the activation of an unique in-game bonus. This, however, is determined by the number of Legendary Pokemon defeated and caught during the event. As a result, now is the moment to put your skills to the test against the most powerful Pokemon ever to appear in "Pokemon GO." Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Groudon are among the Legendary Pokémon featured in the event.

 



 

Nature of the event

Battles with these Legendary Pokémon will be very challenging, according to Niantic. This means you'll need some formidable teammates as well as strong Pokemon to combat and catch them. According to Niantic, if Rayquaza is destroyed more than the other two Legendary Pokemon, Kyogre and Groudon, a windy weather Pokemon such as Bagon would hatch from Eggs, but a sunny or rainy weather Pokemon will hatch from Eggs if Kyogre and Groudon are defeated more than Rayquaza.

Owing to the difficulty of the game, Niantic has introduced additional boxes to the game's shop to assist players throughout the event. Raid Passes are included in the new boxes, which players may utilize to confront these formidable Pokémon.

 

How to catch the Legendary Pokemon

 



 

Kyogre is a 51,968 CP pure Water-type Tier 5 Legendary Raid Monster. You must have at least five people in your group to defeat and capture it. This is due to Kyogre's ability to float while remaining distance from players, making it incredibly tough to capture. In order to avoid damage, it is also not recommended to toss curve balls towards it.

 

The greatest Kyogre counters in the game are Raikon, Zapdos, Sceptile, Exeggutor, Venusaur, and Jolteon.

Groudon is a Tier 5 Legendary Raid Monster of the Ground type, having a CP of 51,968. A group of at least six players is required to battle and capture it. The greatest Groudon counters in the game are Gyceptile, Vaporeon, Mewto, and Venasaur.

 

Rayquaza is a Legendary Raid Monster of the Dragon and Flying types with a CP of 45,468. It is the Kyogre and Groudon's master. It is the finest Dragon-type attacker as well as a top generalist. You'll need at least five other trainers to beat and catch it. Rayquaza is vulnerable to Pokemon of the Ice, Fairy, Rock, and Dragon types like as Lapras, Articuno, Dragonite, and Jynx.
