Kyurem #646

Biology

Kyurem is a gray and blue bipedal Pokémon with an undefined but obviously draconic origin. Kyurem has a blue head and nose, yellow eyes with no pupils, pointed light bluish horns on its head, and a yellow crest on its skull. Three sharp fangs protrude from the bottom of its jaws, which are frozen shut by the ice surrounding its head. Its long, gray neck is adorned with lines that wrap over its whole body, legs, limbs, and tail. It has two clawed arms that are joined together by its strangely curved blue wings, which are said to be employed for flying and storing cold air. Each wing contains two ice spikes. The ice that covers Kyurem's wings may crack, exposing gray tendril-like appendages on his back.

The right side of its body seems to be wounded in some manner, as the wing and horn on its head are shorter on that side; the right side of its skull also has a spiky edge at its jaw hinge that is missing on the left. It has thin legs with three sharp ice-like claws on each huge foot. Its tail features three blue conical spikes on the tip and looks to be some kind of propulsion mechanism or energy container; what it is based on is unknown, although it might be a broken turbine.

Kyurem has two alternative forms, White Kyurem and Black Kyurem, which are created by merging with Reshiram and Zekrom, respectively, and share much of their designs. It may turn to White or Black Kyurem by using Absofusion on their respective Dragon Stones. This is due to Kyurem keeping the gene of the other dragons, which allows for the merger. When it transforms into either, its legs are the same as before, but shorter, and the middle toe becomes ice.

It includes additional frosty embellishments on the legs like White Kyurem. Its tail is similar to that of Reshiram or Zekrom, however it is linked to the body with three gray skin portions. The tail can move and has four holes, which are horizontal on White Kyurem and vertical on Black Kyurem. Both forms have comparable torsos, although White Kyurem's physique is thinner than Black Kyurem's massive body. Its shoulders are covered with ice "squares" with two pins protruding from each that can come out and "plug into" the aforementioned holes. It has narrow arms with two rings and three claws each, wings between the rings on its forearms, and its right arm and wing are frozen like White Kyurem. It possesses Zekrom's arms but is more muscular and lacks wings, and its left arm and wing are frozen. Its neck has the same form as Reshiram's, but it turns upright; White Kyurem utilizes Reshiram's fur, while Black Kyurem uses Zekrom's skin.

The ice covering one of Kyurem's jaws (upper for White Kyurem, lower for Black Kyurem) has partly vanished in both forms, enabling it to move its mouth. During a fight, Black and White Kyurem go into Overdrive form, and tubes emerge from their backs to their tails. In the case of White Kyurem, the ends of its hair and wings turn flaming, while its tail gains fiery highlights. In the case of Black Kyurem, sections of its right arm and the tip of its horn on the back of its head become blue, while its tail glows with electricity. Kyurem may turn into Black Kyurem or White Kyurem without fusing in Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice by harnessing the strength of both Reshiram and Zekrom that it has.

Kyurem creates tremendous, freezing energy inside itself, but when the energy flowed out, its body became frozen. The cellular structure will stay stable by freezing its body. It is thought to have more power than Reshiram and Zekrom, although its strength is suppressed by the intense cold. When fused with one of the two dragons, Kyurem shares Reshiram's or Zekrom's views in truth or values. According to an ancient tale, Kyurem is hostile to Pokémon and people since it allegedly ate them if they were caught outdoors at night. Folklore has it that it is an alien Pokémon.
