Carnivine is a green Pokémon that looks like a Venus flytrap. It has spiky fangs and round eyes with tiny pupils. It has a yellow stem with green dots and red and green tendrils underneath that look like tentacles. It features two leaf-like arms with three leafy 'fingers' each.
It may be hung from tree branches with its tendrils and is supposed to resemble a plant. Its mouth may expand to about 180 degrees. With its mouth open, it attracts the food it seeks with sweet-smelling saliva before chomping down. It takes a whole day to consume prey. It is found in woods and wetlands. It feeds mostly on insects and tiny bugs. Carnivine is noted to be gluttonous and boisterous.
