The next real-world event for Pokemon Go is just around the horizon. Mareep Community Day On this month's Start in this Sunday, April 15, and it allows players all around the globe to win incentives and receive a Pokemon that learns an event-exclusive move.
As is customary, the event will only last three hours and will begin at various times depending on where you reside. The event begins at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET and concludes at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET in the United States; it runs from 10 AM - 1 PM UTC in Europe and Africa; and it runs from 12 PM - 3 PM JST in Asia-Pacific.
Mareep Community Day is Finally Here!
This month's bonus from Niantic is a significant decrease in the time it takes for Eggs to hatch. During the event hours, all Eggs will hatch at a fraction of the normal distance. Furthermore, any Lure Modules that are utilized will stay active for three hours.
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="1024"] April 15, 2018 Mareep Community Day[/caption]Mareep is the featured Pokemon for this month's Community Day. During the event hours, the Electric-type sheep will spawn in increased numbers. If the Pokemon is evolved into its ultimate form, Ampharos, before the Community Day ends, it will learn the Dragon-type attack Dragon Pulse.
April's Community Day falls on the same day as Kanto Week. This promotion is valid through April 17 and makes it easier to locate Pokemon from the Red and Blue editions, such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu. Other Gen I monsters, like as Snorlax and Aerodactyl, will also emerge as Raid bosses, and catching and transferring Pokemon will give players twice as much Candy.
This seems to be the new normal: only a few days after the last Community Day, Pokémon GO creator Niantic Labs revealed the special Pokémon for April's event. Mareep is a beautiful little Electric sheep who bears no resemblance to Philip K. Dick. Mareep develops into Flaafy, who subsequently becomes Ampharos, all of which have pure Electric type. We don't know what its special move is yet, but we expect to be able to capture it in both Shiny and normal varieties, as well as with some type of universal catch bonus.
Mareep isn't all that bad as far as potentially powerful Pokémon go. It's scarce in the wild, but it's gotten more abundant in 10 kilometer eggs since I was certain I'd never be able to complete its development chain. Its third-tier evolution, Ampharos, is one of the more uncommon animals in Gen 2, and there are no doubt trainers eager to fill that void in their Pokédex. Combat-wise, it's not completely worthless; there are stronger Electric-types out there, but a powered-up Ampharos has a clear advantage against Water and Flying-types. It may not get as much attention as a Dragonite or even a Venosaur, but it has its purposes.
It's a step up from Bulbasaur, owing to its better base capture rate and overall rarity. However, I'm still perplexed as to why Niantic is withholding some of its most sought-after Pokémon. Dratini was a great success because to its relative rarity and battle efficiency, and there are plenty of other similar creatures in the mix, such Larvitar, Bagon, and Beldum, to mention a few.
My guess is that Niantic is trying to avoid giving out all of its most valuable rewards all at once, but it's difficult to see that as a big deal when there's only one of these every month — you wouldn't want to give out a top-tier creature every week, but every month is still fine, especially since the new quest system could give people new long-term goals. It's also plausible that Niantic is attempting to prevent disrupting the combat balance, but fighting is pointless anyhow, so that argument falls flat.
In any case, we'll see how things play out next month. Community Day might be better organized, but it is still a wonderful event.

In addition, players still have the chance to catch a new Legendary Pokemon. From now until May 8, Eon Pokemon Latios and Latias will be accessible in Raid Battles across the globe. The former is found in North America, South America, and Africa, whilst the latter is only found in Europe and Asia. The two Legendaries will shift zones on that day, where they will reside until June 5.

Biology
Dewgong is a pure white, fluffy pinniped Pokémon. In icy weather, its fur makes it practically inconspicuous. It has two black eyes, a black nose, and two tusks that protrude from its upper jaw. It features a sleek body, two front flippers, and a long, flowing tail. Even in very cold and ice-packed waters, its tail permits it to swim at rates of up to 8 knots. A pointed horn on top of its head helps it to cut through the thickest ice floes.
It dwells on icebergs floating in freezing ocean waters. It thrives in cooler conditions, becoming more active as the temperature drops. It is absolutely unaffected by even the most harsh cold conditions because it stores thermal energy inside its body. It rests on severely cold ice or beneath shallow water throughout the day. However, as the temperature lowers at night, it transforms into a hunter and seeks for prey such as Wishiwashi. It sunbathes on the beach after eating. This elevates its body temperature and facilitates digestion.
With the return of the Water Festival in Pokémon Go, be ready to take advantage of the summertime. The second Water Festival event has a lot of Water-type Pokémon to catch as well as a number of welcome trainer rewards, despite arriving a little later than it did last year.
Water Festival 2018 Event is Here!
The 2018 Water Festival will start later today at 1 o'clock (PDT) and go through June 21. Water-type Pokémon like Magikarp and Wailmer will be much more common up to that point, while starter Pokémon like Totodile and Mudkip will now hatch from 2 kilometer Eggs.
For any eggs born during the event, Trainers additionally get twice the normal amount of Candy and Stardust. Likewise, if you capture any Water-type creatures, you'll get three times as much stardust as usual.
Water-types will also show up more often in Raid Battles in addition to event-specific Field Research tasks. Legendary Pokémon Kyogre also returns to Raids and, if you're exceptionall
Biology
Medicham is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a yoga practitioner. It has a gray body with red and yellow adornments. A red headpiece with three bulb-like extensions covers the upper portion of its head: one on top and one on either side. The bulb on top is short on a female Medicham. Its large, focused eyes are slightly covered by the headpiece, and its red lips seem to be in a rounded or puckered position. Its legs appear to be covered with puffy, red pants that have a large yellow spot on the knees and yellow bands next to the hips.
As Mega Medicham, its headpiece now resembles a white turban with a yellow stone in the center. The red extension in the back is retained, and there are five white extensions on the turban, three extending from the stone and one on either side of its head. There is now a gold band on each wrist and additional gold bands around its waist. Several blue, teardrop-shaped decorations hang from the lowest hip band. Using its enhanced wi
